MyDocVault

Data Deletion

Last updated: 3 September 2026

MyDocVault does not currently require or create a developer-operated user account. Most information is controlled directly by the user on the device, in a selected folder, or in the user’s iCloud account.

Delete an individual document

  1. Open Browse, Pending Review, Auto/Review, Archive, or the relevant document list.
  2. Select the document and choose Delete or Move to Trash where available.
  3. Review and empty any MyDocVault Trash or system Trash only when permanent deletion is intended.
  4. If the file was synchronized, allow sync to complete on participating devices.

Delete learning or mappings

Open Settings and the relevant Learned Mappings, Document Families, Aliases, or Extraction Rules section. Delete an individual entry where supported, or use the clear-learning control for a complete learning reset. Confirm synchronization if cross-device sync is enabled.

Reset the library

The Mac library master provides the global reset function. Follow the in-app warnings. A reset can clear database records, learning, and synchronized catalogue information while preserving PDFs in the location described by the confirmation screen. Inspect any preserved Old-MyDocs folder and delete it manually only after verifying that it is no longer needed.

Delete local app data

Removing the app deletes its app-container data, subject to operating-system and backup behaviour. Files saved in iCloud Drive, user-selected folders, shared App Group storage, backups, Trash, or preserved recovery folders may remain and must be removed separately.

Delete iCloud data

Disable cross-device sync before starting if instructed by the app. Use MyDocVault’s global reset where available and review iCloud Drive for the MyDocs and preserved recovery folders. Apple may retain recoverable copies according to iCloud behaviour. Manage those through the user’s Apple Account and iCloud settings.

Delete third-party provider data

Removing a provider credential from MyDocVault stops future authenticated requests but does not itself delete information already processed by that provider. Use the provider’s account privacy and deletion controls or contact that provider.

Support request

Because the developer does not host the current MyDocVault document library, support normally cannot directly delete on-device or private iCloud files. For help identifying the correct deletion steps, email [email protected] without attaching private documents, passwords, or API keys.
