Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Please read carefully. MyDocVault is a document-organization aid. OCR, AI, classifications, amounts, dates, reminders, and filing suggestions can be wrong. Users remain responsible for checking original documents and taking required action.
1. Agreement
These Terms govern use of MyDocVault supplied under the trading name Hukup Australia (“we”, “us”, or “the developer”). The MyDocVault pages and email are hosted on the 9 Rivers domain; Hukup Australia and 9 Rivers are associated with the same ABN. By using the app, the user agrees to these Terms and acknowledges the Privacy Policy. If downloaded through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms supplement, and do not override, mandatory rights or Apple’s terms.
2. Permitted use
MyDocVault may be used to scan, import, classify, store, organize, search, archive, share, and create reminders for documents. Users must have lawful authority to process the documents and must not use the app to violate privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, export-control, or other laws.
3. User content and responsibility
Users retain ownership of their documents and are responsible for their accuracy, legality, retention, disclosure, and deletion. The app does not verify that a document is genuine, complete, current, or legally sufficient.
4. OCR, automation, and AI
OCR, rules, learned mappings, similarity matching, and AI outputs are probabilistic or derived suggestions. They may omit content, confuse people or entities, select the wrong document type or destination, or extract an incorrect date, amount, account number, deadline, or expiry. Users must review important results before relying on them. Optional providers are governed by their own terms and availability. See the AI and Data Processing Disclosure.
5. No professional advice
MyDocVault does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, medical, insurance, compliance, or other professional advice. A label, summary, extracted value, or reminder is not advice and does not replace the original document or a qualified professional.
6. Reminders
Due-date and expiry reminders are convenience features. Delivery can be affected by permissions, device settings, clock changes, app state, data quality, or operating-system behaviour. Users remain responsible for deadlines and obligations.
7. Storage, synchronization, and backups
Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate independent backups and verifying important files. Local storage, external folders, iCloud Drive, CloudKit, and third-party services may experience deletion, conflict, delay, corruption, outage, quota, access, or compatibility problems. Recovery and rebuild tools reduce risk but cannot eliminate it.
8. Privacy and third-party services
Use is subject to the Privacy Policy. Enabling iCloud, a local-network AI endpoint, or third-party cloud AI permits processing described there. A user who supplies a provider key is responsible for that provider account, charges, security, limits, configuration, and compliance.
9. Updates and compatibility
Features may require compatible hardware, system software, Apple services, storage, permissions, or optional providers. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Material changes to these Terms may require renewed acceptance.
10. Disclaimer and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyDocVault is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that operation, classification, synchronization, reminders, recovery, or provider results will always be accurate, available, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use or inability to use the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory guarantees, consumer rights, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Ending use
Users may stop using the app and remove their information as described on the Data Deletion page. Deleting the app may not automatically delete files stored outside its container, iCloud data, backups, or information sent to an optional provider.
12. Contact
